It is a great book for everyone who has any interest in providing foster care, adopting or providing for a vulnerable child. Mostly, I found that this book can be applied to our everyday walk and committment to Christ. It is a great tool for the Church to use for small group studies as it engages each of us and the Church in caring for the fatherless! The author did a great job at helping me realize how I can be a part of God's great plan for caring for the orphan!

Re: Live Painting at Summit VIII

wow! It is also great for church orphan care ministries to use as a study. Especially great for orphan care ministries that are just beginning but has great ideas for expanding ministries. Every church needs this book in their library. It changed me! God has used this book to show me my call to the vulnerable child.

Re: What It’s Like to be a Foster Parent

Foster parenting IS the hardest and the best thing ever! http://attemptingagape.blogspo...

Re: Prayer as Summit Arrives

You're so right. It was so intense and raw. I too appreciated the transparency she expressed. She also was able to verbalize the disconnect when going back and forth between cultures....that is wearing and sometimes surreal. I appreciated your recommendation of the book and was also unable to put it down. It is a hard book to communicate with others about....not for the faint of heart. Her walk with Christ through it all was challenging to me.

Re: The Birth of Phoebe Hope

I don't know whether to laugh with joy or weep with anguish. With infinite love and understanding, you bring your chldren into the world that is such a blessing and such a journey. You provide for them the love, support and guidance from God through your hands. Thank you for continuing the legacy of love as only supporting children and their lives through Jesus Christ can bring to an otherwise weary world. I am so proud to know you and continue to pray for you through the Holy Spirit to bring you continued grace, mercy and the unconditional love of the Father as parents and mentors of His blessings on us!
